Born to missionary parents in France, Tom has taught and led evangelism in Africa, Europe, North America, and in Russia. Tom received a B.A. in Bible at Wheaton College and a M.Div. at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He earned a Ph.D. at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2001. Tom has been teaching evangelism at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary since 2001, being honored with the title of Senior Professor of Evangelism in 2020. In 1985 he founded Evangelism Unlimited for the purpose of leading, teaching, and encouraging evangelism. Tom is married to Raschelle. They have three married children, and eight grandchildren.
